A few weeks back I shared with you the song / music video ‘Unpretty’ by TLC.
In response to the post, the lovely Joy Page Manuel who blogs at Catharsis, shared with me this song by India Arie. It’s titled ‘Video’. I had never heard it before but have fallen in love with the song! The verse I especially like is this one:
When I look in the mirror and the only one there is me

Love that song!!
It’s so catchy! She actually has a few others too (there’s one called ‘Brown skin’).
I love those words. Just the right one to remind us that we are all perfect.

This is such an inspirational song. I had almost forgotten about it! =P
I love how it’s so uplifting and how it reminds us in other lyrics that we don’t have to be defined by a certain way of being or acting. I’m still me whether or not I A, B, or C. =)
