Leaving the Corporate World

Leaving the Corporate World

It has been a month since leaving the corporate world to pursue my passions, and its been one hell of a roller coaster. But I never expected anything else!

It has been liberating. I’ve had the time and mental space to explore WHAT it is that I really want to do. WHO I want to serve and WHO I want to work with. WHERE I want to throw most of my energy and WHERE I want to be. But it’s also been frickin’ terrifying! Living on the bones of my ass, it’s daunting wondering how the hell we are going to pay the mortgage next month, or how I can get to meetings with little fuel in my car.

Yet that’s where the creativity happens.

I’ve been exploring various means of making money from my passions – and various doors are opening up.

I’m also putting myself out there as Janine Ripper.

Not the Janine Ripper who was a Project Manager.

Not the Janine Ripper who works for someone else.

No, it’s the Janine Ripper who is a writer, blogger, social media mentor…and so much more.

And do you know what?

It all rattles off the tongue so much easier – I believe in what I am saying and I hope that the passion shines through. Also, it feels RIGHT. I have no idea where the future is going to lead and I am shit scared. But I do know this. I am on a new and exciting path and am finally heading in my chosen direction, and that feels electric!

“The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.” ~ Ferdinand Foch

What steps are you taking to pursue your passions?

Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. (As they say.) Doesn’t get easier, but it does stay as exhilerating and liberating. You go Janine Ripper! 🙂
