99 Things I Love

99 things I love

My friend Barbara Klein recently wrote a post titled 99 Things I Love – The Challenge and put a challenge out to her readers.

Being a sucker for punishment challenges and a lover of lists, I quickly put my hand up…Aside from being a great gratitude exercise, I thought it would really make me analyse my life and make me realise what I need to be doing more of.

You took up the challenge, Janine, GREAT! I love your 99 things and it made me laugh out loud over a full cup of coffee! You have a great sense of humour and I think your fur child (!) Kahlua shares it with you, remember that picture you took of her when we skyped?

So with you on food #7, 40, 41 and 42, no wonder your food love has finally led you to cook. Can you give me a tip on how to charm D and get into his good graces to be included in the next Indian dinner invitation?

Is it not amazing how revealing the 99 things gratitude list is and how well it describes you?

Was it the road tripping that got you? hehe I still have that pic – it’s a fave. Can you believe we only just got out internet connection fixed?! Bad hey! You don’t have to charm D, you just need to come over here for dinner! We actually had quite a few in common. I loved this exercise so much and was really surprised at how easy I found it. Once upon a time it would have been hard – how life has changed for the better. And you are right – it definitely captures who I am and is a good reminder about what I need to structure my life around.

You had me right at the beginning, the picture of you with Kahlua, your infectious grin, so catching!

I can so relate to your internet connection endless story, the other day (eh, night) I was watching a movie on TV when it started to go funny and I groaned “oh no, please, do not die on me”. It was not the TV it was the glass fibre connection, the one and only connection a million times faster and ever sooooo reliable!

Email in the process … stay tuned and in the meantime big hugs!

I only quibble with the order you developed, Janine!
And, I view this as the proverbial song I (and others) sang when we were on interminable journeys….99 bottles of beer on the wall…Which is probably when I would devote the time to such an endeavor…But, thanks for the laugh and the list!
    You, too, Ms. Klein!

I mean, I don’t know what pillow you have or underwear and such, but from what I do know about you, I think you are living or doing much of what’s on this list (good food, D, travel, helping ppl grow, etc). Life is good! Lovely list, Janine! Happy New Year!!!

Haha I actually find it really hard to find a good pillow or underwear (and shoes!). So when I find good ones I love them! Pillows – generally hotel pillows 🙁
Life is only what one makes it!
